If Tombstones Could Talk?

Ever heard of tombstones "talking"? Such strange things happen in America.

Electronic video tombstones, which can play video, are coming to life as people become accustomed to screens in carriages, lifts and bathrooms.

The video tombstone prototype was awarded the Most innovative Product award at the international Association of Cemeteries and Burials 2005 annual Convention in Garth.  

The new product is a 7-inch LCD screen embedded in the tombstone, covered by a solar panel that charges the built-in battery and protects the display from wind and rain. The video device can play continuously for 90 minutes after a four-hour charge. When the relatives and friends of the deceased turn on the solar panel, the video automatically starts to play, and the deceased's life can be condensed into a short film about five to seven minutes long.  

Founded in 1882, the Mountain View Cemetery in California is famous in the area for the burial of former California governors and Nobel Prize winners, from famous writers to movie stars. Many lament that they will no longer be able to hear the voices of these fallen celebrities. But now, with the advent of "talking" tombstones, there is no need to regret. The tombstone is embedded with a coin-sized chip, allowing it to broadcast the voice of the deceased, and even to tell their descendants about themselves
