Granite

Please note the following to determine the specific type or color of granite Multicolor red memorial stone you might consider:

Granite, by its very nature, is a natural, mined material, so it will vary in color, shade, and grain size. Sometimes there are directional marks, or there are larger dark or light-colored crystals in the finer-grained granite. You should know that no two pieces are exactly the same. Sometimes, larger, random spots appear on the stone, but this is normal and to be expected, because these spots were randomly generated by extreme natural forces millions of years ago, and were not designed by the factory last week . Any order placed with us is based on the understanding that these natural changes may exist.

Light gray and white granite tends to be more absorbent than dark materials, which may result in objects left on the monument, such as rusty wire garlands, dead petals and leaves, or other environmental conditions (such as sap, shears, etc.). Grass, bird droppings—especially in the berry season—and other passing wild animals such as dogs, foxes, etc.).

The lighter-colored granite absorbs water more easily. Under humid conditions, the stone absorbs water-in the affected part of the stone, the horizontal line rises to the stone, causing a temporary dark change. When the stone dries, its color should return to normal. The darker the stone, the greater the density, and the weaker the absorption, which reduces the risk of discoloration due to external conditions. However, all stones are absorbent-only to a different degree. On this issue, you should pay attention to two aspects:

(1) Some stones have naturally occurring micro cracks (called vents) deep in the granite. Sometimes, if moisture collects in these cracks and freezes at extreme cold temperatures, the expansion will force the cracks to reach the surface . This may not be obvious in dark granite, but in light granite (such as white granite), dirt and dust may be captured in these micro-cracks and accentuate them through gray or dark lines.

(2) The porosity of the stone will affect any characters or patterns carved on the stone. For further information, please refer to "Guidelines: Your Enrollment Abstract Inscription".

Marble

Like granite, marble is formed after millions of years of mining. Our marble is imported from Carrara, Italy. Most marbles are white, but there are variations, such as Dove gray marble. Some marbles have venous effects running through them. In Carrara white marble, there can be a blue hue, while in Dove gray marble, these textures are often white. This is natural. It is a very absorbent stone and it is easy to get stains-so it needs to be cleaned regularly with a suitable cleaning product, otherwise it may fade over time. Sap, cut grass, petals and pollen, and passing birds and wildlife can all have adverse effects. The moisture in the stone promotes the growth of microorganisms (such as mold, lichen, and moss) and causes discoloration.

In the absence of regular cleaning, many examples of discoloration can be seen in local cemeteries or church cemeteries. Look for gray, dirty tombstones, and you will find many marbles that have never been cleaned. These stones can be refurbished and usually restored to their previous bright appearance, but many are just left.
