The best way to not cut the countertop:

• Place tape where you need to cut holes in the countertop.
  

• Use a pencil to mark on the tape where you plan to cut the table.
  

• Measure a diagonal line from each corner of the table you plan to cut.
  

Can I use a jigsaw saw to cut laminate countertops?

You can also use sharp blades to make puzzles. In this case, you cut from the bottom of the countertop, using a standard upward cutting blade; you can use a downward cutting blade to cut the sink (see below).

How do you cut laminate countertops?

To cut laminate countertops, you can use a hand saw, but a circular saw will make the work faster. Because a circular saw can produce laminates with jagged edges and chips, your best bet is to cut the laminate face down and cut from the back to the front.
