Gold foil, painted or typed inscriptions and patterns
Use gold or silver foil, black or white commemorative enamel paint to coat the characters cut out of sandblasted marble or granite, which can maintain a good appearance for many years. However, the weather and local environment can affect the gilding of letters or the gloss of paintings. Rain, snow, frost, wind, and sunlight will eventually cause the letters to degenerate-the letters need to be re-gilded or repainted after a few years. Gilded or painted letters can never be guaranteed that they will not deteriorate. Using type is an option where you can see the quality of the font lasting longer (although this is using flat lead on marble and raised lead on light gray or red granite).
Maintenance-free inscription and design
Another option is our maintenance-free option. Here, instead of carving the letters on the stone (by sandblasting to a depth of about 2mm), then gilding or painting the cutting area, after removing the polished surface of the black or dark granite, you will find that the unpolished exposed surface has Brighter appearance-an ideal contrast with the black or dark stone that is still polished.
There are two options for this method:
(1) Polished black letters or patterns-on a lighter unpolished background, or
(2) Polished dark background-the inscription or pattern uses a natural light background
Cleaning G664 Tombstone monument is very simple, because the indented area is almost smooth-just wipe it with a damp cloth. Just remove the polishing, there will be no grooves, dust and water collected in the maintenance-free inscriptions (and maintenance-free designs such as crosses, flowers, etc.), never need to re-gilt or repaint, so it will look like new Longer time than traditional gilded or painted letters. The only drawback of this font is that when the stone is wet, the gray background will darken like a polished surface-but this is only a very short-lived effect, until the stone surface is dry.
Letters of this form must never be polished applied to it, as this will reduce its effectiveness.
The maintenance-free letters are particularly useful and recommended for horizontal monuments such as account books, cremation Green Tombstone monument and plaques. With such a remembrance, rain, snow and ice can stop in the recessed place where the gilded or painted fonts are embedded, and increase the possibility of frost lifting the gold leaf or painted in the future. Dust will also collect in the recesses left by the carved letters, which can then cause deterioration of the gold leaf or painted letters. Similarly, passing wildlife, the sap and leaves of nearby trees, bushes, and cut grass will all have an impact on the appearance of your monument. Visiting any cemetery, you will see countless Olive Green Granite Tombstone monument with degraded golden or painted inscriptions.
Maintenance-free fonts can minimize or completely eliminate the risk of font deterioration over time and keep it easy to clean. It provides a very simple, low-key alternative to bright gold and other color fonts, which you will see in every cemetery/church
Cut only inscription
Pure lettering is another option. Here, the sandblasted lettering needs to be made deeper, but it does not need to be gilded or painted. In light-colored stones, such as marble, Nabresina, and Portland, the extra depth makes the shadow effect accentuate the letters. In the darker granite, a shallower, unpolished underground surface can be found by sandblasting, thereby showing the letters (just like the maintenance-free option), but with a shadow effect to enhance the characters.
